Howard Landscape Upgrade: Elegant Outdoor Living Space

When the Howard family reached out to Sunrise Landscape Services, they were seeking to transform their outdoor area into a versatile, attractive space suitable for relaxation and entertaining. The project required a comprehensive approach to create a cohesive landscape that balanced natural beauty with practical features. They had just gotten a brand new (lovely) pool installed, and decided to complete the landscaping around the pool area.

Behind the Scenes:

‍This project took a total of 18 days to complete. From the initial consultation to the final installation, our team worked diligently to ensure every detail was addressed. The project included several key elements designed to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. This project presented a few challenges such as change orders and specific HOA approval - however, we were happy to help the Howards through the entire process.

Comprehensive Landscape Transformation:

• Fire Pit Installation: We installed a high end smokeless fire pit-designed to provide a cozy gathering spot for family and friends, while enhancing the overall ambiance of the outdoor area.
• Paver Patio Construction: We built a beautiful, durable paver patio and installed it to offer a comfortable and stylish outdoor living space. They desired a separate area from the pool decking, where they could set up to cook smores or enjoy the quiet Texas nights, near the fire.
• Custom Stone Steps: Precision-crafted stone steps were necessary to accommodate the change of elevation between the pool area and the surrounding landscape. We used chopped limestone slabs to help match the existing pool work while creating a natural aesthetic.
• Flower Beds: Thoughtfully designed and installed flower beds were created to enhance the property's visual appeal with a blend of colorful, low-maintenance plantings. Special consideration was taken to install low maintenance, color enhancing plants around the pool, and evergreen plants along the back fence to establish a level of privacy.
• Sod Installation: We laid fresh sod down to establish a lush, green lawn that completes the natural beauty of the landscape, and complements the visual of the pool and surrounding flower beds.
• Irrigation System: We constructed a well-planned irrigation setup designed to provide efficient watering throughout the landscape, ensuring long-term plant health, and establishment. The previous irrigation system had been torn up during pool construction, so we placed a large emphases on getting the system back up and running better than ever. We created a total of four new zones and re-constructed several others, to ensure the Howards are left with a sprinkler system built to last.
• New Fencing: The previous fence was in desperate need of attention. So we built a sturdy, high-quality cedar fence. This enhanced the visual of the yard while providing privacy, security, and structure to the boundary of the yard.

From the inviting paver patio to the precisely laid custom stone steps, each element was crafted with meticulous attention to detail. The thoughtfully designed flower beds were arranged to complement the hardscaping features, introducing vibrant color and soft textures that enhance the overall visual appeal.
